What to Wear at Tryouts

Many are NOT aware of this, BUT your appearance is one of the things that the judges will be judging you on at tryouts. Make sure you take the time to make yourself look like a cheerleader and here are some tips!:

.) No jewelry - Don't dare to wear jewelry at tryouts. NOT only is it a safety issue but it could make you loose all of your appearance points.

.) Hair in a BOW - Put your hair up in a bow so that it's out of your face, and makes you look more like a cheerleader.

.) School Colors - Support your team and school by wearing school colors. Don't wear any other color, especially opposing school colors.

.) Proper shirt - Purchasing a school shirt is always your best bet.

.) Proper shorts - Try to get cheerleading shorts. SoFFE is ussually a popular brand, but there are also others out there. Girls... NO basketball shorts (guys are the exception).

.) Proper shoes - Wear proper cheerleading shoes. It will make it easier to do jumps, and stunting. Don't wear basketball shoes (guys exception), because they will look too big and will make you out of place.

.) Fake tattoo - Place a Fake tattoo of the school mascot on your cheek. This is a nice touch that will make your school spirit stand out.

.) Subtle makeup - Don't put too much makeup on, OR you could get deducted. Just make it subtle.

.) Smile - Finish your look off with a SMILE! Believe me, it will make a difference.
