Tryout Tip 9: Work out prior to the tryouts.

[General Tips:] The biggest problem with most cheerleaders trying out is the fact it becomes a spur of the moment decision. Almost anyone can make the team if they practice months beforehand and plan what skills they need.

Why do this? Do this so you can get the skills you need for tryouts. There are some skills that cheerleaders can learn in a couple of hours and others that take months to learn. Pay attention to the skills that memebers of the team have, and plan to get those and beyond. You may have to take tumbling, and stunting classes to achieve your goal, but it will be more than worth it when you make the team.

Next Tip:Wear subtle make-up.
